Doctrinal Statement
WHAT WE BELIEVE
God is the sovereign ruler and creator of the universe. He eternally exists as three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He came to earth, lived a sinless life, and offered himself as a sacrifice for our sins by dying on a cross. He was buried and rose from the dead three days later, demonstrating His power over sin and death.
The person of the Holy Spirit works in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He enters our life at salvation and is ever with us as Comforter, Teacher and Guide.
The Bible is God’s living word to us. It was written by men who were under the inspiration of the Holy spirit. It is completely true and is intended to spiritually transform us and guide us through life.
We were created in God’s image to bring him glory and praise.
Because of our sin, humanity is destined to an eternity without God. Our salvation is possible only by faith in Jesus Christ, apart from works, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
When you become a Christian you become part of a larger collective of believers called the church. The church is the vehicle that God uses to display His love and spread His truth to the world.
It is our mandate as believers in Jesus Christ to share His love with our neighbors and the world. We do this by giving, serving, praying, going, and supporting others who go.
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
Jesus says “Nobody knows the hour or the day” but we are certain of his return and eagerly await the coming king.
